How the installation runs
No separate survey visit is needed for most jobs. Installation typically takes 1 to 3 hours.
Locate the structural slab
The ceiling is checked, and scanned if necessary, so fixings land in concrete rather than in a false ceiling panel.
Set out rail positions
Rails are spaced so full-length garments hang clear of each other and of the wall, allowing air between them.
Fix brackets and reeve the ropes
Brackets are anchored, pulleys mounted and ropes reeved to a wall cleat positioned within easy reach.
Load test and adjust
Each rail is loaded to check it raises smoothly, sits level and holds on the cleat without creep.

We can give an indicative range over the phone from your balcony dimensions, but the final price depends on the condition of the wall or slab we are fixing into, the access route for materials, and the exact spacing you need. A survey takes about twenty minutes and means the quotation we give you is the price you pay.
How much weight can a ceiling cloth hanger hold?
The figure that matters is the wet load, not the dry one, because cotton straight out of the machine weighs roughly three times what it does dry. We state a wet working load for the configuration we install and we load-test every rail before handover, so you know what the system will actually take rather than a marketing number.
How long does an installation take?
A cloth hanger is usually done in an hour or two. A single balcony safety net takes two to six hours, and an invisible grill on one or two bays takes most of a working day. Larger jobs such as sports enclosures or building covering run to several days because foundations and scaffold have to be dealt with first.
Can a cloth hanger be fitted where there is a false ceiling?
Yes, but the fixings must pass through and anchor into the structural slab above. Gypsum and cement board cannot carry this load and will fail, usually with the whole rack coming down. We locate the slab with a scanner where necessary and make the penetration good afterwards.
What warranty do you provide?
Warranty depends on the product, and the figure for each one is stated on its service page rather than promised generically here. In every case the warranty covers materials and workmanship on what we installed, and it assumes the yearly inspection is carried out. We will always tell you what is and is not covered before you commit.
Will my apartment association need to approve the work?
In most gated communities and housing societies, yes, because anything fixed to an external wall or balcony counts as a facade alteration. We can supply the drawings and material specification you need to submit. It is worth starting that process early, since approval usually takes longer than the installation itself.
